Teen Safety · Mobility Readiness · Ages 14–18
Focus Forward.
Safe Decisions. Safer Roads. Stronger Futures.
A simulator-based teen safety and mobility-readiness program that helps young people recognize risk, manage distraction, respond to hazards, and make responsible decisions under pressure.
The experience
Practice the decision before it matters.
Focus Forward uses professional driving simulators, guided reflection, immediate feedback, and structured coaching to help young people understand how attention, emotion, speed, passengers, fatigue, and road conditions influence judgment.
A controlled place to learn
Experience. Adjust. Try again.
Simulation gives participants a controlled environment where observation, judgment, adjustment, and reflection can happen repeatedly without creating real-world roadway risk.
The goal is not speed or competition. It is helping participants notice what is happening, make a deliberate choice, receive feedback, recover from mistakes, and move forward with greater awareness.
Focus Forward complements traditional driver education. It is not licensing, on-road, or performance-driving instruction.
Recognize risk
Understand how attention, attitude, speed, passengers, and environmental conditions can change the level of risk.
Manage distraction
Explore the impact of divided attention, fatigue, social pressure, and peer influence on safe decision-making.
Respond to hazards
Practice identifying developing hazards, preserving space, anticipating change, and responding calmly.
Reset and refocus
Learn practical strategies to regulate emotion, recover after a mistake, manage frustration, and refocus before the next decision.
The program
Six modules. One safer mindset.
Focus Forward moves from awareness to application through six structured learning modules combining discussion, simulator practice, immediate feedback, and guided reflection.
Risk & Responsibility
Understand what changes risk.
Explore how attention, attitude, speed, passengers, and environmental conditions affect risk while establishing a personal framework for responsible decisions.
Distraction · Fatigue · Peer Influence
Notice what pulls attention away.
Controlled scenarios and discussion help participants recognize divided attention, impaired judgment, fatigue, and the effect of social pressure.
Hazard Recognition
See change before it becomes a crisis.
Participants practice identifying developing hazards, preserving space, anticipating change, and choosing calm, deliberate responses.
Vehicle Dynamics & Road Conditions
Connect conditions to consequences.
Hands-on demonstrations connect braking distance, traction, weather, and speed with the time and space required to respond safely.
Focus & Flow
Reset before the next decision.
Practical strategies help participants recover after mistakes, regulate emotion, manage frustration, and refocus before a safety-critical decision.
Careers That Keep Communities Safe
Connect safety to opportunity.
Participants explore careers across insurance, claims, risk, analytics, technology, customer service, engineering, automotive technology, and public safety.
Safety · Confidence · Opportunity
Safety that carries forward.
Focus Forward is designed to strengthen safety knowledge, reflective decision-making, applied practice, family engagement, and awareness of the careers that help keep people and communities safe.
Pilot target
Program completion
